Travel Tips
If you’re planning a vacation abroad, you’ll need to prepare and have the necessary documents and take the necessary precautions to ensure you can travel abroad and enjoy your vacation in the best possible way:
- Ensure your passport is still valid and that its expiration date is at least six months away.
- Make copies of all your travel documents and papers on your mobile phone and any electronic device you’ll have with you while traveling. Print hard copies and keep them in your handbag, suitcase, and wallet. Having multiple copies will help you navigate procedures and avoid problems in the event of lost official documents.
- Print multiple copies of your address, phone number, and the addresses and phone numbers of all your companions, and place the copies in your suitcases and handbags. This will make it easier to locate and deliver any personal belongings if they get lost.
- Email copies of all documents, tickets, hotel reservations, and any other documents to yourself so they can be used as replacements if you lose them while traveling.

Tips for financial transactions:
- Avoid dealing with currency exchange offices inside airports, whether in your own country or the country you’ll be traveling to, as their prices are exaggerated and not at the official exchange rate. Instead, exchange your currency through your bank, through currency exchange offices spread throughout each country, or through the currency exchange office at the hotel where you’ll be staying.
- Regarding credit cards, you can research their operation in the country you’re traveling to. You can find out all the details through your bank. It’s best to notify your bank of your travel so they can allow you to use your card in any country. Some banks take security measures if the card is used outside your residence without notifying them.
- Always have cash in the local currency with you along with your credit card. Some places don’t accept cards, so you can conduct your business in cash.
- Make sure you have enough funds to cover your trip costs to avoid financial difficulties while traveling.
Tips for packing your luggage:
- Make a list of all the items you’ll need to pack well in advance of your trip, and jot down everything that comes to mind as soon as possible. Keep the list on your phone so you can add anything new before you forget it.
- You’ll need a few tools to make packing easier, such as tape, small plastic containers, reinforced plastic bags, a hot glue gun, and strong string. We’ll explain how to use each of these tools.
- Don’t forget to pack different colored threads and simple sewing tools, as you’ll need them often. Place these tools in small plastic containers so they don’t get lost in the middle of your bag.
- You’ll also need plastic containers to store accessories, jewelry, cosmetics, shaving tools, perfume bottles, and skin creams, so none of them can be opened and the rest of your items damaged.
- Don’t forget to pack all the wires you’ll need, such as your phone charger, earphones, and power strips, so everyone can use them to charge their phones or electronic devices. Place them in a plastic container. Using a plastic glue gun, apply some wax around the ends of the wires to prevent them from getting cut or twisted.
- For clothing, try to pack mostly summer clothes due to the humidity, and winter clothes if you plan to visit high, colder areas. Also, try to reduce the amount of clothing you carry as much as possible so that your bag doesn’t exceed the specified load capacity and you don’t have to pay the weight difference. Also, on a short trip, you won’t need a lot of clothes, so don’t burden yourself by carrying unnecessary items.
- Choose suitable and comfortable travel shoes, such as sports or medical shoes. Don’t pack too many shoes, as tourist and recreational trips are not parties that require changing clothes and shoes.
- Place your shoes in plastic bags. If you’re carrying shirts with collars and want to keep them organized, place a leather belt between the collars, or you can use plastic collar fasteners.
- When packing your bag, gather everything you’ll be packing and determine the location of each item before putting it in. This will help you determine whether the bag will fit everything or whether you’ll need to remove some items.
- Place a layer of clothes at the bottom of your suitcase, followed by plastic boxes, then another layer of clothes so the boxes don’t take up too much space.
- Arrange clothes by stacking similar groups on top of each other and then rolling them. Folding clothes takes up more space, as does socks and small items of clothing.
- If you have allergies to certain shampoos, hand soaps, or shower gels, it’s best to carry your own toiletries, as the ones available at the hotel may not be suitable for your needs.
- If you have allergies to non-cotton bedding or towels, carry at least one item with you to ensure you can sleep comfortably and enjoy your trip.
- Place a pack of scented tissues or baking soda at the bottom of your suitcase to keep your clothes smelling fresh.
- Don’t carry anything in your suitcase that might attract metal detectors, as this will prevent you from having to search your bag and waste unnecessary time on your trip.
Pack a small carry-on bag:
You often need a few small items while on the plane, or when you disembark at your destination airport. Remember that most of these items are inside your suitcase, hidden among or under your clothes. Therefore, we’ve tried to compile a list of the simple items you might need that you can easily find in your carry-on bag.
- Keep a small bottle of water in your bag so you can find it whenever you need it. Keep some snacks or light sandwiches to enjoy after you get off the plane until you find a convenient place to eat.
- Keep your medications in your carry-on bag so you can take them on time. Also, keep backup medications, such as pain relievers and massage oils, to use after your day is over and revitalize your body for the next day.
- Pack your mobile phone or tablet in your bag to prevent it from breaking while transporting your suitcase. Also, pack all your hotel reservation and ticket documents so you can easily present them to the staff member. You’ll also keep your cash and Visa card in this bag.
- You can also pack paper towels or small cotton towels that you may need to dry anything during the flight. Bring any sterile wet wipes to clean your hands regularly to avoid the spread of diseases during crowding.
- If you suffer from plane sickness, be sure to take your medication well in advance of boarding the plane. Pack these medications in your bag, as you may need them again.
What should you do two or three days before your travel date?
- For further confirmation and to avoid delays in travel procedures, contact your reservation office and remind them of your travel date and send a copy of your tickets for confirmation.
- It’s preferable to exchange your local currency for the country you’ll be vacationing in before leaving your country, to avoid dealing with currency exchange agents at airports and public places.
- Don’t forget to inform your bank of your departure so that they can take the necessary steps to allow you to use your credit card wherever you’re headed.
- You should activate international roaming on your mobile phone to make it easier to communicate with friends while traveling abroad, and to avoid having to deal with telecom companies you haven’t used before.
- After you’ve packed your bag for travel, try weighing it and checking the weight allowance on your airline ticket. This will ensure you don’t exceed the permitted weight and be forced to pay extra before you depart and board the plane.
Tips for preparing before and during your flight:
- Make sure you have all your identification documents, including your flight tickets and hotel reservations, with you before leaving home. Keep copies of these documents on your mobile phone so you can access them whenever you need them during your trip.
- When preparing for your flight, wear comfortable clothing, preferably cotton. The flight will be long, and uncomfortable or tight clothing will make you feel uncomfortable.
- Arrive at the airport at least three to two and a half hours before your flight departs so you can complete all check-in procedures, check your bags, and drop them off in plenty of time.
- If your flight is delayed, notify the airline’s customer service and send them a copy of your boarding pass or the new arrival time so the airline knows when you’ll be departing and arriving in your destination.
- If it’s your first flight, you can book a seat near the wings, as these seats are less susceptible to vibration.
- Distract yourself by looking outside the plane and enjoying the calming colors of the sky. This reduces stress and distracts you from the movement and vibration of the plane.
- The flight crew will provide you with magazines for you to read. You can also pack your favorite books or magazines in a small handbag, or a small radio with earphones to listen to so as not to disturb those around you.
- To feel comfortable, you can recite the supplications for travel immediately after boarding the plane and before takeoff, or recite whatever you can from the Holy Quran. Try to relax and sleep as much as possible so you can regain your energy upon departure and begin enjoying the flight from the first minute.

Tips to follow at the arrival airport:
Your journey begins the moment you step off the plane and set foot in your new country. To enjoy the journey from the very beginning, turn on your mobile phone and contact the company’s customer service. Let them know of your arrival so you can begin your journey with them.
- Avoid dealing with airport hawkers who will try to convince you to exchange currencies, arrange trips and tours at special prices, or convince you to book hotel rooms. Remember that you have made all the arrangements through the company and will not need to deal with these individuals, who have recently become notorious for fraud and deception.
- It is also preferable to avoid anyone who tries to carry your bags to a foreign car or help you complete travel procedures at the counter, as they will later demand very large sums of money, and you will not be able to escape this situation. Not all of these people are trustworthy with you and your luggage. Try to carry them yourself until you reach the company’s shuttle vehicle and complete the travel procedures yourself with the counter employee. There is nothing that requires assistance. Upon arrival at the hotel, confirm your reservation with the reception desk and review the services provided. Upon receiving your room, inspect it thoroughly. If you have any requests or comments, contact the customer service desk at the company or the hotel and specify the modifications you would like.
- Avoid walking in dark, narrow streets at night. No country in the world, no matter how safe, is free of thieves, especially after midnight.
General Travel Advice:
To avoid inappropriate situations during your trip, we’ve compiled some tips to help you deal with those around you, whether hotel staff, the outside world, or anywhere else you go.
- From your arrival to your departure, treat the hotel staff in a polite and civilized manner. They are here to assist you and provide all the services necessary to ensure a peaceful and enjoyable stay.
- If your room has a safe, use it to store your money and valuables. If there isn’t one, use the hotel’s safety deposit box. Don’t travel with all your money, so you don’t lose it all at once.
- Remember that you are acting as an ambassador and representative of your country outside your country. Try as much as possible to set the best example for your country by acting with the utmost civility and respect in all your interactions.
- Choose your clothing and wear whatever you want without feeling embarrassed by those around you. Everyone has complete freedom to wear whatever they want, especially Arab women who wear abayas.
- When it’s time for prayer, you can use the prayer app to find the nearest mosque, or you can ask the receptionist. If you’re in your room, use the compass to determine the direction of prayer.
- You have the right to enjoy your time however you see fit. However, you must respect the right of others to enjoy themselves and avoid engaging in behavior that would offend those around you.
- Your stay in a new country is short, so you should nevertheless familiarize yourself with the country’s laws, customs, and traditions before your travel and try to adhere to them as much as possible to avoid any unnecessary situations.
- Keep your interactions with others to a minimum, and don’t be overly social. Not everyone you interact with will become your lifelong companion. These relationships are often fleeting and don’t last long after the trip ends.
- If you encounter a situation and are stopped by a police officer, try to remain calm and don’t argue with them until you identify the problem and contact your travel company to provide an appropriate solution.
- Try to be formal in your interactions with those around you, avoid excessive compliments, and avoid acting carelessly or rashly. Remember that your trip is meant to be special, so avoid problems.
- You’ve traveled a long distance from your home country, spent a lot of money, and come here to enjoy a relaxing time away from the noise. Try to adhere to the remaining tips so you can enjoy every moment of your trip. We wish you a happy trip.
Tips for Enjoying Your Trip:
- After you’ve packed your bags, reviewed your documents, and made all your preparations, you should plan your trip so you can enjoy every minute of it and not miss anything you’d like to do.
- Download apps on your mobile phone that facilitate navigation, such as Google Maps, a translation app to facilitate interaction with locals, and an app to locate the nearest places and tourist attractions.
- Set a start date for your trip with the company’s customer service and plan your free time during your tours with the company.
- Identify all the places and attractions you would like to visit, determine the time spent at each location, and divide this time by the number of days you will be in the country. Try to find the fastest means of transportation to save time, and learn the opening and closing times of these places.
- Try not to spend too much time in malls and shopping centers, as they are a side pleasure, not an essential one. Try to focus all your time on learning about everything new about yourself and enjoying what distinguishes this country from your home country and from any other country in the world.
- Create a transportation map for yourself, starting from leaving the hotel and moving to tourist sites, restaurants and cafes, or shopping centers, and returning to the hotel. Allocate a specific time for each location so that your day doesn’t get lost in a single place.
- Take as many photos as you can of your leisure time inside and outside the hotel. These photos will always remind you of the fun you had there, but don’t let the photos distract you from enjoying your surroundings.
